Privacy Policy

GradeLab does not collect any data about you. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party services of any kind. Your videos and photos never leave your device.
This policy explains what GradeLab does with your information, and it is short because the honest answer is: almost nothing. It applies to the GradeLab app for iPhone and iPad.
What is not collected
GradeLab has no servers of its own and makes no network requests. There is nowhere for your information to be sent, and specifically none of the following happens:
- No account, sign-up, login or email address is required or requested
- No usage analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or behavioural tracking
- No advertising, ad identifiers, or app-tracking permission requests
- No third-party SDKs, and no data brokers, resellers or partners
- No location, contacts, calendar, microphone or health data
Your media stays on your device
The videos and photos you import, every grade you apply, your saved projects, your presets, and any LUTs or fonts you import are all stored on your own device only. They are never uploaded, copied off the device, or seen by me or anyone else. Deleting the app removes them.
Photos permission
GradeLab asks for access to your photo library for exactly two reasons: to let you pick the clips and photos you want to work on, and to save a finished export back to Photos when you choose to. Importing uses Apple's own system picker, which hands the app only the specific items you select and nothing else in your library.
Purchases
GradeLab Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment and handles all billing. The app receives only a receipt confirming that a purchase is valid — it contains no name, no email address and no payment details. I never see your card details, address or Apple Account credentials.
Apple's own handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.
If you contact me
When you email me, I necessarily receive your email address and whatever you write, including any screenshots or files you attach. I use that solely to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not share your message with anyone. If you would like our correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it.
If I ever want to quote your feedback publicly, I will ask your permission first.
Children
GradeLab is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws — apply to data a company holds about you. I hold none, so there is nothing to retrieve or erase. The only exception is an email you have sent me, which I will delete on request.
Changes to this policy
If GradeLab ever gains a feature that genuinely needs to send data somewhere, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be described plainly here rather than buried. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
