Drawget - Your Privacy Matters

Indie Developer Project

Last Updated: March 2026

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Drawget is an indie app developed by a solo developer who deeply cares about your privacy. This app is built with your privacy as the top priority. We believe in transparency and simplicity: we don't collect your personal data, we don't show ads, and we don't track your behavior.

What We DON'T Collect

  • No personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No device information beyond what's necessary for the app to function
  • No location data
  • No third-party analytics (no Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or any tracking tools)
  • No advertisements or ad networks
  • Photos from your camera or gallery are never stored on our servers — they are only used locally on your device as a canvas layer and are included in the final drawing image you choose to share

What We DO Store

To make Drawget work, we store only the bare essentials needed for the app's core functionality:

Anonymous User ID

When you first open the app, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. This gives you a unique identifier needed for the app to function, but it contains absolutely no personal information. No email, no password, no name — just a random ID.

Drawing & Widget Images

Your final drawings are stored in Supabase Storage so they can be displayed as widgets and shared with your room members. These are only the final composed images you explicitly choose to send. If you added a photo from your camera or gallery to the canvas, only the final merged drawing is uploaded — the original photo file itself is never sent to our servers.

Room Information

Room names, room codes, and member lists are stored in Firebase Firestore to enable the room sharing functionality. This is the minimum data required to connect users who want to share widgets.

Camera & Photo Library Access

Drawget includes a PRO feature that allows you to add a photo to your drawing canvas. Here is exactly how this works and what we access:

📷 How Photo Access Works

  • Camera access is only requested when you tap "Take Photo" — it is never accessed in the background
  • Photo library access is only requested when you tap "Choose Photo" — we do not browse or scan your library
  • The selected photo is loaded locally on your device only as a layer on the drawing canvas
  • The original photo file is never uploaded to our servers in its original form
  • Only the final composed image (your drawing merged with the photo) is uploaded when you tap Send — and only if you choose to do so
  • If you close the drawing screen without sending, nothing is uploaded at all
  • You can remove the photo from the canvas at any time before sending

In summary: your photos stay on your device. We only ever receive the final artwork you deliberately choose to share with your widget room.

Device Permissions

Drawget requests the following device permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

  • Camera — Only used when you tap "Take Photo" in the drawing screen (PRO feature). Never used in the background.
  • Photo Library / Media Access — Only used when you tap "Choose Photo" in the drawing screen (PRO feature). We only read the single photo you select.
  • Notifications — Used to alert you when a room member updates a shared widget, so your home screen widget stays in sync. You can decline this permission and the app will still work normally.
  • Internet Access — Required to sync drawings and widget images with room members.

You can revoke any permission at any time from your device's Settings app. Revoking camera or photo library access simply disables the Photo on Canvas feature; all other app functionality remains unaffected.

Security & Privacy Features

Your security is built into how Drawget works:

Request-Based Access System

When someone enters a room code, they cannot automatically access your widget. Instead, a join request is sent to the room creator (host), who must manually approve it. This prevents unauthorized access even if someone randomly types in codes.

Room-Based Privacy

Drawings are only visible to members of the specific room. Your widgets aren't public and cannot be discovered by others unless you explicitly share your room code with them.

No Cross-Room Access

Members of one room cannot see or access drawings from other rooms. Each room is completely isolated.

Third-Party Services

Drawget uses the following third-party services solely for app functionality (not for tracking or advertising):

Firebase Authentication

Purpose: Creates anonymous user accounts for the app to function

Data Stored: Anonymous user ID only (no email, no password, no personal information)

Why We Use It: To give each user a unique identifier needed for room membership

Firebase Firestore

Purpose: Stores room data and manages join requests

Data Stored: Room names, room codes, anonymous member IDs, join request status

Why We Use It: To enable real-time syncing of room memberships and requests

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

Purpose: Delivers widget update notifications

Data Stored: FCM device token (anonymous, no personal data)

Why We Use It: To notify your device when a room member sends a new drawing, so your home screen widget updates automatically

Supabase Storage

Purpose: Stores widget drawing images

Data Stored: Final composed drawing images only — never original photos from your camera or gallery

Why We Use It: To store and serve widget images to room members

Google Play Billing (Android) / App Store (iOS)

Purpose: Processes PRO subscription and lifetime purchase payments

Data Stored: Purchase tokens are verified server-side via Firebase Cloud Functions; we store only your premium status (active/inactive) and subscription type — no payment card details ever touch our servers

Why We Use It: To unlock PRO features after a verified purchase

Important: We do NOT use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or any other analytics services. We do NOT use advertising networks or SDKs.

Your Rights & Control

  • Delete your data: You can request complete data deletion by following the process outlined below.
  • Leave rooms: Exit any room at any time from the app dashboard.
  • Control access: You decide who joins your rooms through the manual approval system.
  • Camera & photo library: You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device Settings. This only disables the Photo on Canvas feature.
  • Notifications: You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings without affecting core app functionality.
  • No account recovery: Since accounts are completely anonymous with no email or password, there is no account recovery process.
  • Data portability: Since we don't collect personal data, there's no personal data to export.

Request Complete Data Deletion

If you want to completely delete all your data from our servers (including your anonymous account, room memberships, and drawings), please follow these steps:

📋 Data Deletion Process

  1. Open the Drawget app
  2. Go to App Settings
  3. Copy your User ID (UUID) from the settings page
  4. Send an email to ak375456@gmail.com with:
    • ✉️ Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
    • 🆔 Body: Include your copied UUID

What will be deleted:

  • Your anonymous user account
  • All rooms you created
  • Your room memberships
  • All drawings/widgets you uploaded
  • Any pending join requests
  • Your premium status record (if applicable)

⚠️ Note: Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered. We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation email.

Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the app to function:

  • Room data and drawings are kept as long as the room exists
  • When all members leave a room, the room data may be periodically cleaned
  • Anonymous user IDs are retained to maintain room memberships
  • Premium status is retained to honour your purchase — it is removed upon a data deletion request
  • No historical usage data or logs are kept
  • Photos you use on the canvas are never stored on our servers and are not subject to any retention policy

Children's Privacy

Drawget does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The app is designed to be privacy-friendly for users of all ages. Since we don't collect personal information and only use anonymous IDs, we don't have age verification requirements. The camera and photo library features are gated behind a PRO subscription and are used solely to create drawings — no images are stored beyond the final composed artwork the user deliberately sends.

International Users

Drawget can be used worldwide. Data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) and Supabase servers, which may be located in different countries. However, since we only store anonymous IDs and drawings (no personal data), there are no privacy concerns related to international data transfers.

Changes to This Policy

As an indie project, we may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of Drawget after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will notify users of significant changes through an in-app notice.
